Any money we receive will go to benefit them, so maybe just cut out the middle man.
Fifty people are dead in orlando. Fifty people with hobbies, siblings, anectodes repeated at social gatherings, self-defined with infinitismal nuances--postures, body types, inflections of the voice. Fifty people who loved and learned, who underwent and overcame physical, mental, and emotional traumas--some expressed, some internalized to their dying breaths. Fifty people. Slaughtered in the name of some ugly ambiguity, a no-named law with no shape or form or purpose. What is this? What are we even doing here? I don't know. But whatever I do I'll do it with love. I'll do it with purpose. Queer, straight, trans--whatever. I'll do it because I am here and you are here and we are both human. This world makes me weary. But even if I'm shot dead in the streets for a flick of the wrist I will not compromise my right to be exactly what i am. It's a right I've inherited by virtue of my very existence. It's my right to live. It's your right too. Whoever you are, wherever you are, I hope you know that I love you.
